Those white fat globules allow you to be more awesome on the trail.
The first few days of base camp, I typically have a cooler full of good meat and vegetables.
I remove the chicken but carefully pour out the blood and chicken awesome juice into a separate container. Yeah, it looks disgusting right now, but you just wait. We are going to boil it down and make the best broth you have ever had.
1. 3 packs of chicken juices. ( I use the Costco Organic Chicken 3 pack. It is a bit more expensive, but it doesn't smell so dead chickeny)
2. 2 cups of spring/mountain/tap water.
3. 1 teaspoon of garlic.
4. 3 teaspoons of salt.
5. Any left over chicken pieces.
Continue boiling and add the water and seasoning to your taste. KEEP all the fat..that is the essence of tastiness.
*My luscious chicken is also seared/grilled on the 8 inch cast iron pan by LODGE.
